New Orleans Web Designer Portfolio Sample – Filmmaker Site

June 18, 2008

See how a great looking site that took about a week with little sleep and playtime to redevelop.

My client’s biggest need was to have a site she could manage herself and make periodic changes. She also needed something that easily let her display trailers to her film projects and a way to self distribute her work.

Check out http://www.notherapedocumentary.org
to see what we were able to do in a short period of time.

Her site includes testimonials – both written and video – and allows people to readily upload/send her their testimonials with a picture.

Thats why I incorporate it as part of my clients site design. Building a web site in New Orleans is not just about site design. It’s about content, traffic, monetization, search engine optimization, branding, conversion, and more. And, my friend, much of that starts with Social Media right now.

When I use the term Social Media, I am talking about the umbrella term that represents community sharing and booking marking sites like Digg, Stumbledupon, Youtube, Revver, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. Are you using these sites in your web presence strategy yet?

Where Web Design Has Never Been More Fun

There’s no bigger step for your business or service in New Orleans, than deciding on creating a website and building your brand on-line.

Unfortunately, too many web designers in New Orleans, are just that. They won’t tell you that you need much more than a website to get ahead and get found by your potential customers and clients on the Internet.

Most New Orleans Web Designers are just interested in getting you a real pretty website. And maybe that’s what you think you need. I’m here to prove to you, that over and beyond any fancy flash and graphics, your major concern when you decide to build a website is to think about how you will build your web presence, before you even begin to think about your design.

In this site I’ll provide lots of helpful tutorials and information on starting, building, and maintaining a website built to excel and soar in the Web 2.0 world we live in.

Remember, it takes more than just a fancy website to build an online presence. It takes a well thought out strategy and comprehensive plan that includes social media, link building, and owning web 2.0 properties in addition to your own website. But…enough of that for now. We’ll get a chance to talk all about it soon.

Until then, you can find me on base at http://www.The-Cyber-Abolitionist.com. Get my podcast, subscribe to my feed, and even join my newsletter. Just get there. I’ll see you soon.
