New Orleans Web And Blog Design Client Testimonial

June 12, 2008

Filmmaker Happy with New Orleans Web and Blog Designer’s Work

Many people ask can I get my website designed even though we don’t live in the same state. The answer to this question is ABSOLUTELY. Time and technology have caught up with each other and geography is no barrier.

Aishah Shahidah Simmons, Philadelphia based filmmaker talks about her experience with my design and web strategies for her business. Check out her new site we designed at http://www.NOTheRapeDocumentary.org

Here were her challenges and needs:

  1. Have access to website for frequently changes and updates
  2. Let folks know where films are screening
  3. Highlight video trailers of films and shorts
  4. Feature the voices of others in testimonials
  5. Allow potential schools and organization contact her without necessarily giving them complete access to her immediately.
  6. Qualify potential clients and their ability to screen her film and pay for her honorarium fees
  7. Have a clean, nice site that grows with her

Our solution to all of this was to create a WordPress Site/Blog hosted on her existing domain.

Listen to her joy in finally being free from her “webmaster” here

or below:

  1. She can now update her site whenever she needs to
  2. Add events and testimonials
  3. Received emails from potential contacts without them having direct access to her
  4. Add audio and video to her site
  5. Get great Search Engine Optimization and lots more traffic as a result
  6. Keep in contact with her supports and clients via a new mailing list we set up
  7. Highlight her work and accomplishments.

Where Web Design Has Never Been More Fun

There’s no bigger step for your business or service in New Orleans, than deciding on creating a website and building your brand on-line.

Unfortunately, too many web designers in New Orleans, are just that. They won’t tell you that you need much more than a website to get ahead and get found by your potential customers and clients on the Internet.

Most New Orleans Web Designers are just interested in getting you a real pretty website. And maybe that’s what you think you need. I’m here to prove to you, that over and beyond any fancy flash and graphics, your major concern when you decide to build a website is to think about how you will build your web presence, before you even begin to think about your design.

In this site I’ll provide lots of helpful tutorials and information on starting, building, and maintaining a website built to excel and soar in the Web 2.0 world we live in.

Remember, it takes more than just a fancy website to build an online presence. It takes a well thought out strategy and comprehensive plan that includes social media, link building, and owning web 2.0 properties in addition to your own website. But…enough of that for now. We’ll get a chance to talk all about it soon.

Until then, you can find me on base at http://www.The-Cyber-Abolitionist.com. Get my podcast, subscribe to my feed, and even join my newsletter. Just get there. I’ll see you soon.
