At it’s core, it’s a great content management system (CMS) which means it can easily organize all of your necessary information. You can throw just about anything at it and it will handle it.

When potential clients call and need us in a hurry, we do our best to answer. Check out this design of New Orleans author Marie Bookman. All done with WordPress! As a CMS system it is great for making small changes and for Search Engine Optimization. Best of all it can also be used as a “blog.”
With CMS systems like WordPress, your options are endless as to what you can do with your site. Filmmaker Aishah Shahidah Simmons needed something that could grow with her as her projects develop and her documentary screenings and press marched on.
She had also had the experience of never quite having her website reflect the real time events going on in her production company. Things always lagged at least a month behind on her website.

My client’s biggest need was to have a site she could manage herself and make periodic changes. She also needed something that easily let her display trailers to her film projects and a way to self distribute her work.

I recently designed this New Orleans based website for Author Marie Bookman. Her new home is http://www.mariebookman.com. This is an example of what you can do using WordPress and simple customization to come away with a great looking site.

Best of all, Marie can add to her site at any time. With a few lessons and tutorials, she’ll be updating her site which also acts as a blog in no time flat.
